Empowering to worship, equipping to serve, enabling many to follow Jesus

Missions

Our church exists to enable people to serve their communities with the abilities God has given them. By serving, we announce the good news of Jesus Christ to our nation and our world by words and lifestyle.

  • India
Harvest Apostolic Ministries began in the 1990's through the vision of Jagadeesan Kalyanakumar (Ps Kumar) while he serving God in Singapore. He returned to his native Chennai and has established a strong movement that reaches into neighbouring state Andhra Pradesh as well as into the northern state of Bihar below India's border with Nepal.

Christchurch North Apostolic Church partners with Harvest Apostolic Ministries supporting missionaries in Bihar. In February 2006 we sent a short term mission team to see and assist in the work in Bihar.

  • Myanmar
The Apostolic Church in Myanmar started in 1995 as a group of ministers met with representatives from the Apostolic Church in New Zealand. We have supported the church in this needy and oppressed nation since those early days. Our support goes towards a pastor in the north of the country and the orphanage he runs, as well as towards resources for a Bible School near Yangon.
  • Rodem House

    Christchurch
Rodem house was founded on the vision of Young-Gi Lee from Korea. Inspired by the account of Elijah finding refreshment under a broom tree (is Hebrew the word in ‘rodem' – see 1 Kings 19:4) Young-Gi saw Rodem House as a resting place for missionaries.
As well, Rodem House has an outreach to International students through:

Pattaya, Thailand
In 2005 Rodem House extended its scope and established a work in Pattaya, Thailand. This work is seeing pastors of various churches in Pattaya coming together in unity, and also runs a Bible School for pastors wanting ongoing professional development.
  • Kingdom Library
Kingdom Library is a visual aids library to support voluntary teachers in the work of Bible in Schools, Children's Churches and Children's Club work. The vision of the library is to equip teachers in Christchurch to reach children who don't know Christ.

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:14).
